Climbing from our Gite to Rent in the French Pyrenees Midi

There is a roadside crag with some excellent bolted routes just south of Luchon on the road to Spain.  Drive about 2km from the edge of Luchon towards Spain looking for a picnic area and parking on the right.  The road does a bend right just after it.

Park at the picnic site and look towards the other side of the road.  'Nuff said!  No need for a guide as there are two boards showing routes and grades.  There are also via ferrata style cables to give you a safe walk off the top, though abseiling (rappel) seems to be the usual method of descent.

Another climbing crag is marked just north of Luchon, but we struggled to find it.
